Meet Dr. Colleen: Your Child's Dental Advocate
Meet Dr Colleen, Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Colleen went to dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, where she met her husband, Mike. After graduating, they both commissioned as dental officers in the U.S. Army and served for a decade, with assignments in Georgia, Texas, and Bavaria, Germany.
She completed her pediatric dental residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 2020 and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Board certification is voluntary. It requires written and oral examination beyond residency, and it is held by a minority of practicing pediatric dentists.
The Army years matter more than they might sound. Military dentistry means treating whoever walks in, on whatever schedule the mission allows, often far from a specialty referral center. Dr. Colleen has cared for kids in the middle of a move, kids who had never seen a dentist, kids with complex needs and no easy options. Very little rattles her.
She and Dr. Mike chose Lubbock with a purpose. They are excited to raise their daughter in this welcoming community and to care for your family over the next twenty years. The Drs. Segall are honored to carry on the Double T Smiles’ tradition of excellence that the Drs. Tipton built over decades.
